UP FOR ADOPTION:

These photos are from a client who has many cats available for adoption, as she runs a shelter for cats. Let me know if you are seeking a cat and she could see if any of her cats will be a perfect match.

News or Not

I wear a mask when entering a house, and avoid touching anything but the patient. I can still perform most services while social distancing; blood collection with owner assistance can only be performed without six feet of distance, but both the owner and I can wear masks. I have continued to wear a mask since COVID, but do not require that my clients do, and we no longer social distance.

Warmer weather means greater likelihood of problems with fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes (which can transmit heartworm disease). Call me if you are having a problem, or need a preventative/treatment recommendation.
Once fleas are indoors, though, they are no longer susceptible to outdoor temperature fluctuations, so there will be an ongoing problem through the winter once pets (and their indoor living quarters) are infested. And I have seen mosquitoes in New Jersey in January; it doesn't take long for them to pop up during a brief balmy spell in the winter.
